Patchy, lopsided, itchy or epic – whatever Mo you grow this Movember, your face will raise awareness for men’s health.

Globally, men die on average six years earlier than women, and for reasons that are largely preventable. Which means that it doesn’t have to be that way: we can all take action to live healthier, happier and longer lives.

Raise Awareness

Movember is all about raising awareness for men’s health. Specifically mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer. Grow out an epic mustache this month to raise awareness for men all over, to keep on top of their health before it’s too late.

SHOW US YOUR MOVEMBER STACHE!

Share a picture of your stache with us, either hashtag #cbfmovember2021 or email pictures to newsletter@carpenters.fund. Please include your name, ubc#, and local.

Make sure to visit our social media pages to vote for your favorite mo!

Can’t Grow a Stache?

Move for Movember – Commit to running or walking 60 miles over the month, at your own pace. That’s 60 miles for the men lost to suicide each hour, every hour across the world.

How to Stay on Top of Your Health

Annual Physical – No matter your age or stage of life, annual physical exams are essential to your ongoing health. Only 1 in 5 of our members get their annual physical. Visiting your primary care provider for regular preventive care is one of the best ways to identify & treat health issues before they get worse. These visits also help you track your progress toward your health goals.

Vaccines – All adults need immunizations to help them prevent getting & spreading serious diseases that could result in poor health, missed work, medical bills, & not being able to care for family. Important vaccinations for adults:

  • Pneumonia
  • HPV
  • Flu
  • Shingles
  • Measles, mumps, rubella

Screenings – Getting preventive screenings before developing any symptoms makes sense, because that is when you have the ability to work with your doctor to mitigate the risk that has been identified. Preventive screening is an important step to keep you independent and active for as long as possible.

All Screenings, Vaccines, and Physicals are covered 100% through Independence Administrators. Visit their website to search for an in-network provider near you!
