The Carpenters Benefit Funds have adopted a new Variable Pension Plan design, or VPP for short, that will go into effect January 1, 2023
What is a VPP?
A Variable Pension Plan (VPP) is a type of pension plan where the annual accruals are subject to change according to the performance of the plan investments. The benefit that a Participant is entitled to adjusts based on asset performance, hence the use of the term “variable” in the name of the plan.
