A Lung Scan or Lung cancer screening is completed via a low-dose computerized tomography (LDCT). The scan is done in order to detect the presence of lung cancer in otherwise healthy people with a high risk of lung cancer. If lung cancer is detected at an early stage, it's more likely to be cured with treatment.

If you don't meet the age requirements, please provide a Letter of Medical Necessity from your Primary Care Physician

No prior authorization required! Simply call the Temple Access Center at 215-707-8800, Monday-Friday between 8:00 am - 6:00 pm, to set-up your appointment date and time.

Scans are performed at the above Temple University Hospital locations, Monday through Friday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
